First off, hi, my name is Steve, I own Real Cycles, a new and rather excited Litespeed dealer. The frames have just started to arrive in the shop, the first one being the Obed in my size  :-) This could prove expensive!

We're very excited to be appointed a Litspeed dealer, and we plan on carrying all the MTB frames in tock in all the sizes we can get. Whilst we are mainly (well soley really!) a MTB specialist as the Litespeed brand grows with us we will expand our operation to cater to the Litespeed road sector.

Litespeed is very much a learning curve for us, we're used dealing in premium brands, but never before anything quite like Litespeed, so don't be surprised to hear us asking questions on the forum too.

In the mean time, I thought I'd share some pics of the amazing welds on these frames:

And one more.....

They are simply stunning, Obeds, I take it your's is a Large?

what height are you to be looking at a Large?

I just so happen to have a Large but feel that it's too big for me, i.e. the standover height is nil, no nad clearance whatsoever.

Will post pics and report of mine sometime to see how I get on with it.

what build do you think you'll go for, if you decide to buy one?

I went for quite a heavy build mind but think it suits the frame spot on.

pro-obed.

I'm 6'3", the large is really an XL in my opinion. We're new to LS so we're on a learning curve with them, I'm torn on the build: Lightweight or trail burly? Can't decide. This will be my first hardtail since 1994, so it's gonna be interesting! Officially this is a demo bike, but we'll not mention that Wink

We have more frames arriving soon, plus some finishing kits. Looking forward to getting the Niota in.

Would it be stupid of me to suggest that a dead on 6ft rider could ride a Large comfortably (use=trail, general mucking about on) even though the rider has no ''nad clearance''?

yes indeed, the Niota Ti is one fine looking full susser but one 'ell of a price tag imo.

I really need to get it built up to really offer an accurate comment. I can tell you the large LS is almost exactly the same size as an XL Commencal Flame, and personally I'd be guiding a six footer towards a large Flame, not an XL.

But, knowing how frames tend to shrink or grow once built up, like I say before offering an accurate opinion I need to get the Obed built.

fair enough, I think that once built up, they come up fairly bigger than planned imho.

I have seen one built up lightweight but definitely prefer the heavier weight build for sure.
seems to fit in quite nicely with the tubing size and the overall impression of ''The beast''.

anyway, I cannot comment on how they ride yet but will be sure that they won't be a let down.

cheers, pro-obed.
