Hey great site guys by the way.  Grin

Not sure if its helps anyone but I had real problems with the front mech.

I initially tried an XTR M971 bottom swing dual pull. Had problems with the outside edge of the cast swingarm hitting the small swing arm on the front mech. Spoke to AMC and they said use a top swing top pull. So then bought an XTR top swing M970.

This however had a similar affect at the other side. When the rear shock was at full travel, I.E the swing arm was all the way forward (fully compressed) it touched the back of the front mech. It was pretty frustrating.  Embarrassed The XTR M97x range have wider clamps which makes them stand out a little more from the frame.

So in the end I reverted to an older style XT mech. This is smaller so fits OK.

Hey Noth,

Great looking Niota. I have a question. I see that you have the Large frame, how tall are you? I'm looking very seriously at a Niota Al frame identical to yours. Already have the Teramo for the road... Gotta stick with the brand.

I'm 5'11" and need advice on a L or ML size. Any thoughts will be appreciated.
Thanks,
CB

Do you really need a front mech - do without, its much better.
